Kentucky Wine & Vine Fest named a Top 10 Festival
The Kentucky Travel Industry Association has selected The Kentucky Wine & Vine Fest as a 2013 Top 10 Event. The annual festival held in Nicholasville is now its 10th year and has grown into Kentucky's premiere showcase for vineyards and winemaking. Criteria for selection as Top 10 Event include popularity of the event, its impact on the local tourism economy as well as cultural and historical significance.
In addition to the wine, visitors enjoy Kentucky Proud Foods, Kentucky arts & crafts, unique strolling musicians, and the ever-popular Run for the Merlot Contest. The festival has been dubbed "Kentucky's Official Wine Fest" by an act of the Kentucky Legislature.The 2013 Kentucky Wine & Vine Fest will be held rain or shine on May 18 downtown Nicholasville.
Our safer, more beautiful

The beauty of Nicholasville always has been its citizens, good people who work hard and care about their neighbors.
That beauty was not reflected in our Main Street, however. It was marred by uneven and broken sidewalks, drainage problems and narrow lanes. Wires criscrossed every intersection, making it appear cluttered and outdated. Businesses were leaving downtown, which confirmed it was not living up to expectations...
