2012 Nicholasville NOW! Officers
New officers for 2012 selected at Annual Meeting
Nicholasville NOW, a Kentucky Main Street Program, confirmed their 2012 officers and board of directors at the annual meeting in March. The new officers are (from left in the photo above) Tonya Coleman, Nicholasville NOW Executive Director; Robert Amburgey, Vice President; Darlene Gardner, President; Stephanie Routt, Treasurer; and Ruby Mason, Secretary.
Board members for 2012 are Bert Grayson, David Chrisman, Geri Polvino, Jeff McDanald, Kelley Woolums, Mark Miller, Ronda May and Tommy Cobb. Tonya Coleman will continue her service as Executive Director. Nicholasville NOW works with local and state government and community leaders to promote a viable downtown. More News

Our safer, more beautiful
Main Street

The beauty of Nicholasville always has been its citizens, good people who work hard and care about their neighbors.
That beauty was not reflected in our Main Street, however. It was marred by uneven and broken sidewalks, drainage problems and narrow lanes. Wires criscrossed every intersection, making it appear cluttered and outdated. Businesses were leaving downtown, which confirmed it was not living up to expectations...
